Newborn Transport

The University of Mississippi Medical Center has a Newborn Transport team staffed 24/7 by a trained team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. This team is available to transport babies from throughout Mississippi to UMMC-NICU for medical problems such as extreme prematurity, surgical or cardiac issues or the need for whole body cooling. The medical oversight of this team is by a neonatologist in house available at all times.
